There are no shortage of National Basketball Association trade rumors involving the Cleveland Cavaliers that have popped up on Friday. Perhaps adding a strong two-way player like Hill, who doesn't need to ball in his hands, could pay dividends for a team that is in desperate need of a defensive-minded guard. The Hornets are reportedly looking to dump salary in any Walker trade, and between Nicolas Batum, Marvin Williams, Cody Zeller, and Dwight Howard, the Hornets could attach decent role players on hefty salaries to any trade.
The Kings have gone all in with their youth movement and while he is a starter, De'Aaron Fox is the long term hope at point guard.
Hill signed a 3-year, $57 million deal with the Kings last summer but it's evident that Sacramento doesn't see him in their future. LeBron James is scoring 2 points per game, ripping down 8 rebounds and dishing out just shy of 9 assists per game. He's averaging 11.8 points per game, while shooting 60.4 percent from the free-throw stripe, which would set a new career-high.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have won five of their last eight games and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after blowing past the Lakers in a 114-90 home win on Wednesday. It's not at all clear they would take on Cleveland's bad contracts for two of their best players, albeit players who may be gone after this season.
The Cavs enter the trade deadline with one of two first-round picks to offer in trades - the 2018 Brooklyn pick they acquired from Boston for Kyrie Irving, and their own. If anything, this should be a very interesting few weeks for the Cavs leading up to the February 8 trading deadline. Derrick Rose played Thursday for the first time since Nov. 7 and Iman Shumpert has been out since mid-November with a knee injury. According to Mark Stein of the New York Times, the Cavaliers are after DeAndre Jordan.
Jordan has missed each of the team's previous three games with an ankle injury. Wojnarowski said on "Golic and Wingo" that he believes it's unlikely that the Cavs would trade the Nets pick unless it's for a sure-fire superstar that could change their title odds.
