LG Electronics is committing to expanding its competitiveness in 4K UHD home projectors with the HU80K series, its first 4K UHD 1 projector, the recipient of CES' Best of Innovation award for delivering ultra-sharp video and a home cinema experience in a compact, handsome design.
The new tiny 4K projector is one such project capable of projecting 150-inch screen on any wall in your house.
That's not to say that the LG HU80KA projector should struggle with HDR thanks to its 2,500 lumens of light output. The LG 4K projector supports HDR content so that the images appear life-like and realistic. Of course what would a "cinematic experience" be without some great sound. This projector is a portable device that has a mirrorless I-shaped engine, which allows the user to simply place it on the floor or hang it on the ceiling. Two 7W speakers provide on-board sound, though when you're spending this much on a projector, you'll nearly certainly want to hook it up to a decent home cinema sound system. However, they are also supposed to provide the best resolution, picture clarity and ability to project large images on to any wall. Also, it can be connected to external speakers or soundbars through optical output, Bluetooth or HDMI. Also there is the Auto Cord feature, allowing the cable to quickly wind up so that it makes moving the projector even easier. Apparently LG's engineers have been able to downsize the HU80KA without sacrificing image quality. In fact, LG claims the ease with which the HU80KA projector can be used and installed happens to be the biggest USP of the device.
The South Korean manufacturer, LG is expanding its reach in CES with a number of products getting ready to be showcased. The connectivity options include the standard ports for USB, Ethernet and HDMI and also offer wireless support for external devices like a keyboard and mouse.
