The most intriguing part of the show is the fallout from Daniel Bryan getting assaulted last week, but there are several interesting matches throughout the show. Rusev's chinlock has as much success and Roode starts his comeback but Orton tags himself in. Both men wait in the ring for their opponents.
Instead of winning the match, Harper and Rowan look to destroy all of the New Day. Fortunately at the beginning of the match they had a willing crowd. Roode and Mahal lock up, but Mahal gains the advantage with an elbow to Roode's head. Mahal tags back in, and lays in the judo chop off the ropes. He's given them those opportunities because the two of them have always been there for him, whether it's as a partner or if he needed a bed to sleep in. The vest comes off and we take a break. Singh distracts Roode, so Orton slams him to the barricade. Rusev will replace him. This match ended when Rusev kicked Orton in the face and got the pinfall. Rusev tags back in, and continues to isolate Roode. He maintains control, choking out Roode in the ropes.
Mahal and Rusev continue the punishment on Bobby Roode. Mahal tags back in, and delivers knees to the back of Roode. "The Glorious One" tries fighting back, but is quickly knocked back down to the mat by "The Modern Day Maharaja". Orton fights back, hits the backdrop suplex and gets the hot tag to Roode, who runs wild.
Randy Orton comes in like a bolt of lightning.
- Mahal & Singh celebrate and meet with Rusev.
Mahal takes Roode into the corner to start as Orton still has his vest on.
Jinder Mahal and Samil Singh look very pleased with the results of the tag team match. But Rusev has other plans. Orton then turns around and eats a Matcha Kick from Rusev, who pins the United States Champion. A match that was won by the young lady kicker herself Lynch. Riott is ruthless and fearless going up against "The Irish Lass Kicker". Ruby is whipped into Logan and a rollup gives Becky the pin at 6:08.
According to rumours by Cageside Seats, Hogan could be coming back to WWE to fill in for Bryan, who will be returning to in-ring action after being recently cleared to compete again. Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan provide a quick distraction, which Riott capitalizes on, dropping Lynch to the outside. He's back and will fight at WrestleMania. Lynch drops Riott and then ascends the top rope. Logan distracts her, and Riott hits the headscissors into the buckle.
Ruby attempts a Riott Kick, but Becky blocks. Becky scores with the clotheslines until Ruby pulls her off the ropes. This doesn't work out well for The Riott Squad.
A predictable attack after the match, but Lynch chucks them all over the top rope. Daniel Bryan said yes, so now Rusev finally is involved in an important storyline for Wrestlemania, which is well deserved. He makes a challenge to Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for WrestleMania. Styles agrees to protect the dream match. If he and Shane win, Kevin & Sami remain fired.
Here's Daniel Bryan for a chat on the stage. He tears off his shirt, revealing a new "YES!" He has a lot of jobs as GM, jobs he doesn't like, like paperwork and board meetings, and dress in blazers. It's time for Daniel Bryan to return to the ring where he belongs! But if Kevin & Sami win, they will be reinstated to Smackdown live. Unfortunately Shane is hospitalized, but he says he will be ready to go. All of The New Day, taking on the Bludgeon Bros. and getting trounced in the process may have been bad enough, but throw in The Usos and chaos ruled supreme in this insane showdown between the hottest tag teams on the roster. I'm a NY native, filtering through the net for the next hit story. I didn't think the post-match to this was too bad.
