"My son stood within the background, hid his telephone and watched as they stuffed these trash cans filled with water, and held these raccoons down in trash cans within the cages", the dad or mum informed the station. In addition to holding down the drowning raccoons, the students and their instructor would use water hoses to spray the raccoons and opossum in the face in an effort to speed the drowning process.
The student said the animals had killed several chickens that the school was raising in a shed behind the building and said the teacher made students join in drowning the animals. The footage leaked by the Forest High School student appears to show one of the raccoons in a wire trap being dunked into a large garbage bin being filled with water by people who appear to be students. However, one of the disciples disobeyed Bruton and documented the process, during which an American teacher guilty of two drowned raccoons.
"We received statements that the teacher drowned multiple animals in front of students, and with student participation, because the animals were nuisances to the ag program at the school", spokesman Kevin Christian said.
She said her child came home in tears and was yelling and angry over what happened to the animals.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission launched an investigation after parents notified the agency, according to FOX51.
"While law enforcement tells us the teacher did not do anything illegal, his actions before students are certainly questionable. He could have had somebody come and relocate the animals".
On Facebook, the alumni group of the Forest High School Future Farmers of America posted a statement defending Brewton, saying he was a man "who would give everything" to make sure students were taken care of. "The district is determining the status of the teacher at this moment".
"The FWC takes these issues critically", the company mentioned in an announcement.
It is unclear whether or not the teacher, who has not yet been identified, will be facing any criminal charges for the incident.
'He has spent late nights, weekends and has provided around the clock support for his club and for his school'.
