While there is still no official release date set for Daredevil Season 3, it is expected to return to Netflix sometime in 2018 with new showrunner Erik Oleson at the helm. It is known, however, that he will portray an Federal Bureau of Investigation agent who will play a critical role in the conflict between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, better known as Daredevil and Kingpin respectively.
Bullseye is a classic Daredevil villain, and was likely not used sooner due to his delightfully goofy portrayal by Colin Farrell in the not-so-delighfully crappy film Daredevil (2003). Ever since these shows were announced, fans have been wondering when we might be able to see these characters appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe proper or when we might see a movie character appear on one of the shows.
Fans of the comics know Bullseye as Lester or Benjamin Poindexter, an assassin for hire who's had multiple run-ins with Daredevil at the behest of The Kingpin. Writer Jason Aaron reimagined Bullseye' as Sheldon Pendergrass, a skilled marksman. As with all Marvel TV shows, we know we won't be getting a direct adaptation of this or any character, but here's to hoping we'll see the best bits of Bullseye's brand of insane when the series airs later this year! "Elodie Yung, who plays Elektra, doesn't want Bullseye to show up either". Since then, he has appeared on other shows including The Astronaut Wives Club, Blood & Oil, and How to Get Away with Murder.
Marvel's Daredevil's Season 1 and Season 2 are now streaming on Netflix.
Season 3 of Daredevil now doesn't have a release date, but is expected to air later this year.
What do you think of Bullseye being cast for Daredevil Season 3?
Fans are definitely excited to see Matt wearing his original costume, which was inspired by Frank Miller and John Romita Jr.'s Daredevil miniseries "Man Without Fear". Tell us your thoughts in the comments down below!
