You can choose to reserve a ticket to play against people casually "for fun", or play "for glory" in a competitive elimination match. But if you're hoping to just walk up and play it at the show, we've got some bad news.
Those attendees confirmed for E3 by May 31 will receive an email around June 5 asking to make an appointment for Smash. Attendees should make sure to add [email protected] to their safe sender lists so the email doesn't get lost in their junk folders.
Nintendo will showcase other games at E3 2018, so registering a time slot to play Super Smash Bros. will maximize your time at the company's booth. There won't be any sort of on-site registration for you to grab a ticket then, so you'll have to do everything ahead of time if you want to be able to participate.
Tickets will be in the form of QR Code patterns that can be stored on a smartphone or printed out.
According to Nintendo, Super Smash Bros for Nintendo Switch will be playable at various events in Japan starting from June 17.
E3 2018 will take place June 12-14 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. No one is going to want to be left out of new Smash, that's for sure.
All of Nintendo's other games at E3 will be available to demo on a first-come, first-served basis.
Nintendo is also inviting players to bring their Switch consoles to the show, as if you're spotted with your Switch at the Nintendo booth or around E3, you could win an exclusive Nintendo Switch pin, while supplies last.
Furthermore, with Switch being extremely successful one would assume that Nintendo will finally drop the support for the 3DS, however, Nintendo has noted that it will support 3DS until Switch becomes a one-per-person system.
As always, people can keep an eye on https://e3.nintendo.com for all of Nintendo's latest updates from E3 2018.
