Naturally then, people have been speculating when the "Pokemon Go" style game will come to the Nintendo Switch. The game was met with huge success literally overnight as the number of downloads soared to millions. Judging from recent events, it seems that this speculation may not be too far from the truth. Nintendo hasn't given any indication that they'll air a Pokemon Direct this week, but that hasn't stopped fans from getting even more excited about the prospect of a new pair of games. Pokemon can also benefit from the increased brand awareness after the popularity of Pokemon GO mobile game. The Pixelpar Twitter account, which has been teasing Pokemon Switch announcements for a while now, has also been dropping hints regarding Pikachu and Eevee's prominence in the RPG. This news was posted on Serebii.net official Twitter account.
"After all, it was Nintendo who released Pokemon Go Plus, a bluetooth wearable device, developed by Nintendo's Platform Technology Division, that allows players to enjoy the game without looking at their smartphone. I suspect that the naming/branding for this year's Pokémon Switch title (there's two versions) might raise a few eyebrows". We know that Nintendo has some presentations planned for E3 2018, but the announcement could actually arrive sooner. Hopefully, all the rumors will be addressed and we will have something decisive to work with. If not, it's the most elaborate series of rumors we've seen in quite some time! A recent tweet from Game Freak's Junichi Masuda also featured Pikachu and Eevee plushies, alongside a Pikachu doll wearing a Luigi costume, potentially in a sly nod towards Pokemon Let's GO!
