T.I. was also arrested, charged with disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness.
Police told the outlet that he was arrested at the gated community where he lives after an altercation with a security guard. T.I. and a friend argued with the guard at the security shack, who wouldn't let them enter. and it got heated enough that cops showed up.

Ch2 was the 1st to confirm the breaking news about TI - Clifford Harris - arrested this morning. T.I. described the local law enforcement as "white cops in a very white area" and believes he got locked up by them for "being an affluent African-American celebrity".
T.I.'s wife, R&B singer and songwriter Tameka "Tiny" Harris owns a home in the Eagles's Landing Country Club community that she bought in 2014. He claims the guard was asleep when his client arrived at the guardhouse and it took "some time to wake up the sleeping guard". He says the rapper identified himself and sought entry, but the guard refused.
The statement continued, "Tip was in contact with "Tiny" by phone and "Tiny" confirmed that Tip should be let in immediately". Words were exchanged and apparently the guard and/or supervisor called the police.
After T.I. was released, he celebrated his son Major's 10th birthday at his school.
T.I. was arrested in Atlanta outside his gated community on May 16, according to local reports. Attorney Sadow says the officers had no interest in "hearing Tip's side of the story and wrongfully chose to end the situation by arresting Tip". T.I. was, in fact, allowed into his gated community after an initial argument with the guard, but then returned on foot shortly afterward to confront the guy again.
We're told T.I. plans on pursuing legal action against his HOA for the incident with the guard.
