The president then plans to travel to Singapore for a June 12 summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. As CNN notes, past year the White House only released a statement following the reception with a snippet of the first lady's remarks, so we probably shouldn't expect to see any photos from the event. Some Twitter users even believed that she may have moved back to NY after seeing that NY was noted as the location of her Twitter account, but that was an older account that she has not used recently.
The Hill has reached out to the first lady's office for comment.
"Mrs. Trump is very strong and independent", Grisham said.
One of Melania's tweet posted on Wednesday, May 30, said the media was "working overtime" to know where she was and how she was doing.
Mrs. Trump stayed in the hospital for five days and has kept out of public view since returning home May 19.
Conspiracy theories are growing and not likely to stop with the latest news of the first lady's absence.
The FLOTUS has not attended a public event in almost a month.
That speculation may soon be over, though, as the First Lady is set to make a public appearance at an event for Gold Star families on Monday.
