This will be a hefty beta, too, with ten Specialists playable in six maps and across five game modes.
This is our first official look at the battle royale mode, and though it's brief, it does show enough to get you excited. What we are seeing from the short clip is that Treyarch is likely going to be using every trick in the book for Blackout, with different locations, weapons, and vehicles, all of which they promised months ago when the mode was announced.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - When will the PS4 beta start?
The Blackout beta will be coming in September.
Those who have pre-ordered the PlayStation 4 version will get to play the private multiplayer beta a week earlier. Yes, we're getting a trailer for the beta.
The same day, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 BETA will be launched for Xbox and PC.
Another weekend will be available to Sony players August 10 to August 13. Everyone on Battle.net will have access to the PC open beta. There has been no word as to how many players will actually be in the map so we'll probably find that out closer to the beta.
It has also been confirmed that fans will have access to a large slice of new multiplayer modes, including Control, Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, and Search & Destroy. A code will be displayed on the website and can be redeemed by following the instructions. Once the Call of Duty Black Ops 4 BETA closes the stats would not follow but there would be benefits.
As of now, Activision has offered the multiplayer-only beta although a Private Blackout Beta is in works separately.
