The 27-year-old rapper headed to LA to finish a collaboration with the singer and producer, who has been dating Elon for several months. Banks also had some interesting things to say about Grimes and her intentions in inviting Banks to meet her and Musk, and claimed Musk starting seeing her "all because he needed a date to the Met Gala".
In an expletive-ridden tirade via her Stories, Banks alleged Musk was "on acid" while tweeting and called him a "beta male who took steroids and got hair plugs to convince himself he was alpha".
She wrote that she "waited around all weekend while Grimes coddled her boyfriend", and that "then (Grimes) had the nerve to go ghost and "book me a first class flight" thru (record label) Roc Nation as if she's big enough to send ME out of LA". Using her Instagram story to broadcast her adventures to the world, she said her time dealing with the new couple had been akin to "a real episode of Get Out".
She said she arrived at one of Musk's homes in Los Angeles early on Friday but said she was left alone for days while Grimes comforted her boyfriend.
Azealia also clarified that she was not being held hostage at the home and at no point did she refuse to leave.
She also referred to Musk, who is from South Africa, as an exemplar of colonial wealth and racial privilege, claiming he was "given his start in life because his disgusting racist parents took advantage of thousands of black people", before concluding this was the "last time" she tries "working with a white b--h".
Keeping track of Azealia Banks' feuds with celebrities is a full-time job, what with freaky claims about tussles with Russell Crowe, Kanye West and Rihanna (among others) that have led her to be banned by Twitter and other social media platforms. On August 7, the Tesla CEO wrote he had funding "secured" to take his company private.
This Sunday, the Azealia Banks Elon Musk feud was launched.
Banks added: "He's not cute at all in person".
Now that she revealed her future collab with Grimes, it sounds like the rapper is back to making music for the album. In 2016, she slammed Beyoncé on Twitter for allegedly stealing from other artists.
"I could run Tesla better than he does", Banks told Business Insider of Musk.
"They're so pitiful", she added.
