Most Fortnite players probably already knew that the biggest addition in this week's patch is the Heavy Sniper, but today's patch notes tell us what it's all about. This new mode looks to try and offer a new twist of the 50 vs 50 mode and brings a huge emphasis on mobility.
It should be noted that Fortnite Save the World has also been updated, with the game recently hit by server performance issues.
The Heavy Sniper Rifle will be available in Epic and Legendary variants and can be found from standard floor loot, chests, supply drops, and vending machines. Gliders can be redeployed when leaping from high points, as well as bounce pads, launch pads, and impulse grenades becoming more common.
Sniper Shootout, the sniper rifle exclusive limited time mode, is also back with V5.21 for a limited time, and will not include access to scoped assault rifles.
Profile Stats (K/D & Wins) are not tracked in this mode.
