Pogba was rumoured to be the subject of interest from Barcelona earlier in the summer and it was reported in the press that he was keen to join the La Liga champions, partly due to his hard relationship with Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho.
Barca have had a busy transfer window so far, having signed Arthur Melo, Clement Lenglet, Malcom and Arturo Vidal.
The La Liga kings still want to sign the France global despite uncertainty over the 25-year-old's Old Devils future.
Having enjoyed a fractious relationship with manager Jose Mourinho over the past two seasons reports in Spain have claimed the Blaugrana are exploring the possibility of the 2018 World Cup victor arriving at the Camp Nou.
But his future has been under speculation of late with agent Mino Raiola pushing for a move away.
"But at the moment I can imagine United's players in the changing room every morning saying, "He's been a right, erm, plonker again on TV... who is he going to turn on next?"
After a few moments, Sanchez tried to convince Pogba to hand him the ball, but the World Cup victor refused to stand down.
It is said no complaints have been made personally to the club or Mourinho by Pogba since his return from global duty.
"We thought maximum [he would play] 60 minutes, but he managed more than 80".
Michael Carrick, an influential figure who is now on the coaching staff at Old Trafford after ending his playing career this summer, was also instrumental in giving Pogba the confidence to take the arm, as the Frenchman revealed: "Even [Michael] Carrick came to talk to me and told me that he wanted me to wear it because of the history because what I give to the club, I give to the people, what I do for the fans, for the young players in the academy and stuff like that".
The Telegraph add Mourinho believes the pair get on well and his previous comments on Pogba lacking some focus at Old Trafford were "constructive and fair".
Pogba was also asked about the contrast playing for Red Devils and Les Bleus.
"I always give my best for fans, my team-mates and for people who trust me".
