Goals from Pedro Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata gave Chelsea a deserved 2-0 lead inside 20 minutes of Saturday's London derby against Arsenal, with the Blues completely in control as they repeatedly carved open their opponents at will.
Chelsea threw away a two-goal advantage at the end of the first half in the London derby but managed to claim the three points thanks to Marcos Alonso's late victor.
"Leave this year? I will not leave".
The chain-smoking Chelsea boss admits he finds it hard not to reach for a cigarette especially during a "horrible 15 minutes" against Arsenal. "We lost distances, we were not able to press or defend, we were really in trouble".
However, after failing to make any kind of impact against City in their Premier League opener, the 29-year-old once again asked very little questions and was taken off after just 65 minutes.
The visitors were guilty of several other glaring misses before Alonso stole all three points with just under 10 minutes remaining, preserving Maurizio Sarri's ideal start to his Chelsea tenure.
Chelsea wish to offer Hazard a new contract but he does not appear keen on signing anything at the moment, with two years left on his current deal. Sarri will have to rotate his squad throughout the season when the Europa League fixtures pile up but he could not have wished for a better start to the league season.
Sarri was also probed on how the team is being shaped in his image, as he looks to get his side playing fast and attacking football.
"We have good players, we can do something magic, so it's good to have this kind of manager".
"In quality, we are going very well".
"I think it's normal".
Emery said: "Our start is an issue, but we are thinking of the next match and to work on things we need to improve".
He's got a serious case to be labelled the best player in the Premier League, with Kevin de Bruyne, Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane the only players who can really test that claim.
