Trump's campaign has accused Manigault-Newman of violating a non-disclosure agreement.
"I will not be silenced".
"I was used to the sickening feeling I had whenever they touched or kissed or he openly admired her form", she wrote. "Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!".
On the other hand, Ms Sanders' refusal to rule out the existence of the tape is a stunning concession, and Trump has consistently proven honesty is not his strong suit, so we would be foolish to take his denial at face value. "We see a lot of people coming to us with tape recorded termination meetings or tape recorded harassment".
Newman was sacked from her position as Director of Communications at the Office of Public Liaison late previous year - a post that made her the highest-ranking black woman in the White House.
While Meyers didn't mention that distinction during his segment on Manigault Newman, he said that "anyone who calls a black woman a "dog" is a racist with a rotted-out soul".
But she defended herself against criticism that she didn't do enough to help African-Americans.
Critics condemned Trump's tweet for what they said were racial and sexist undertones.
"This is a insane story in so many ways, because the media keeps calling her unreliable", said O'Keefe.
The White House, however, can't avoid the awkward questions - and when press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked about the n-word allegation, she gave a strikingly noncommittal answer.
In the book, Manigault Newman suggests she joined Trump's campaign - despite the misgivings she said she had about her longtime friend and mentor - after an arrangement to join Democrat Hillary Clinton's campaign fell through and left her feeling spurned. "I don't have that word in my vocabulary and never have".
"Nothing has more meaning to Donald than himself", she says, alleging that he and his wife Melania sleep in separate rooms and that Trump has brought a tanning bed with him to the White House.
She has one sister, Ines, who is reported to live in NY and work as an artist.
Manigault Newman told MSNBC's "Hardball" on Monday: "They told me I could work from home, I didn't have to come in if I didn't want to".
The president has attacked Manigault-Newman in recent days after excerpts from her book were disclosed.
Manigault Newman said she had already spoken to the man who is looking into Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election and whether Team Trump colluded with Moscow to tip the scales.
She also declined to discuss details of her interview with special counsel Robert Mueller's office, which she confirmed earlier yesterday. "He has done it multiple times, and it's odd because most people, when they think of dogs, they don't think of firing them", Meyers said.
Manigault Newman has been associated with Trump for more than a decade.
Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman during an interview in NY yesterday. One-time Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski joined Pence's Great America PAC in May, and former press secretary Sean Spicer was announced in June to replace him as the "senior advisor and spokesman" for pro-Trump super PAC America First Action.
