Meghan Markle, who turned 37 on Saturday, appeared to not be letting any of her family drama get to her, as she celebrated by attending the wedding of one of Prince Harry's closest friends, looking lovely and completely relaxed.
The Duchess of Sussex stepped out on Saturday to attend Prince Harry's bff Charlie van Straubenzee's wedding to Daisy Jenks.
People Magazine reports she wore a fascinator by milliner Philip Treacy, who has collaborated with Alexander McQueen and frequently designs extravagant hats and head pieces for Sarah Jessica Parker. The new royal looked beaming with joy as she arrived for the wedding, chatting with fellow guests and well-wishers.
What a year this has been for Meghan Markle! Prince William, who is also close with the Van Straubenzee family, and Duchess Kate were also reportedly invited to the celebration.
Back in 2014, she shared these words of wisdom with ELLE UK and, frankly, they hold true for any year and any person's birthday, too. Meghan has not seen or spoken with her father, who lives in Mexico, after he participated in a series of paid interviews and staged photos. He has recently complained in the press about how Meghan and Kensington Palace have recently severed ties with him and has also expressed concern over her public royal appearances.
Meghan appeared completely relaxed at the wedding.
The is not the first time the half-sister has attacked Duchess Meghan, as last month she tweeted, "How about you pay tribute to your own father?!"
Unfortunately, things haven't been as smooth on Meghan's side of the family. "And hopefully we'll start a family in the near future".
