Nokia 5.1 Plus features a 5.86-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels, a 19:9 aspect ratio and a top notch.
After HMD Global announced the Nokia X6 (the company's first smartphone with a notched display) earlier this year in China and the Nokia 6.1 Plus in July, it may not be too long before consumers see another Nokia phone. During the same event, the Finnish upstart company which now owns Nokia brand said that it would launch the Nokia 5.1 Plus in September as an exclusive to Flipkart. Thanks to Nokia's retail partner, Flipkart, we now have an update on the same nearly a month after the launch.
To recall, HMD Global at the time of Nokia 5.1 Plus announcement mentioned that the handset would have a "global average" price of Euro 199 (around Rs 16,700) excluding taxes. All the Nokia Android smartphones under HMD will be part of Android One programme and they come with the promise of regular software updates. If the rumour mill is to be believed, the Nokia 5.1 Plus could be priced under Rs 25,000 in the country. The Nokia 5.1 Plus follows the Nokia 6.1 Plus when it comes to design. On the other hand, Axis bank is also offering a 5 percent discount on the phone through its Axis Buzz credit cards. When it comes to performance, the Nokia 5.1 Plus relies on the MediaTek Helio P60 chipset that is paired with an ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. It includes an internal storage of 32GB which can be further expanded up to 400GB via microSD card.
For security, there's a fingerprint sensor at the back, and the device is backed by a 3,060mAh battery. In the camera department, the Indian unit comes with a 13-megapixel sensor with PDAF, LED flash and artificial intelligence features. The smartphone also features an 8MP front-facing camera. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C. It will be available in Black, Blue and White color variants.
