Per Thompson, she had set up a meeting with Weinstein in 2011, when she was 28, at his company's offices in NY, to pitch him on working with her on advertising and marketing initiatives for films. Sky News obtained the video, in which the disgraced producer makes sexually suggestive comments to 28-year-old Melissa Thompson and touches her body.
While pitching her product, she appeared to make a joke about data being hot right now. "Let me have a little part of you", he insists. "Can you give it to me?" "It's okay, would you like to do it some more?"
It's not clear what he is doing off camera, but she replies: "That's a little high, that's a little high".
In the video, Thompson is polite and friendly with Weinstein, but at one point he reportedly touched her leg off-camera.
When she arrived, Weinstein allegedly led her to his hotel room where she says he raped her. She ended up in Weinstein's hotel room, where Weinstein raped her despite her attempts to get away, Thompson alleged. Sky News reported that he then locked the door.
He said, "What they shared with us, when viewed in its entirety, in context and not in select excerpts, demonstrates that there is nothing forceful, but casual - if not awkward - flirting from both parties".
"We believe that the People's response in its entirety makes it absolutely clear that the case against Mr. Weinstein can not be successfully prosecuted", said Brafman in a statement to Deadline. "This is a further attempt to publicly disgrace Mr. Weinstein for financial gain, and we will not stand for it. Facts do matter".
"A little bit, mm-hmm", an uncomfortable-looking Thompson responded. "I had never met anyone that I couldn't handle, until Harvey Weinstein", she said.
Thompson, who had previously worked on Wall Street, rejected suggestions that she encouraged Weinstein's behavior.
Thompson is a plaintiff in the class action suit against Weinstein, and back in June spoke to NBC News about her experience with Weinstein. "We don't have to live with being raped when we think we're going to a business meeting", Thompson said. In an interview with Sky, she said he would go from "almost pulling a trigger on using" her service, and then he would put his hand under the table and up her dress.
At one point in the extended video, Thompson turned the computer to capture the side of the room near the kitchen, after Weinstein gestured her there.
Meantime, prosecutors in the criminal case filed papers Wednesday challenging defense claims that they withheld evidence from a grand jury that could have helped Weinstein deny the allegations, including emails proving he had a consensual relationship with one of the alleged victims.
Weinstein has been accused by dozens of women of a litany of sexual misconduct ranging from harassment to rape.
Once in the room, he raped her.
