Reid was on a plane from Los Angeles to NY and she caused a serious disturbance right before take-off, prompting the captain to refuse to put the plane in the air until she was de-boarded.
Delta spokesman Ashton Kang told People.com in a statement that the flight from Los Angeles to New York City "returned to the gate, prior to takeoff, due to a customer disturbance on board".
Video obtained by the outlet shows a flight attendant trying to deescalate the intense situation as Reid collects her belongings.
The Sharknado star opened up to Extra about why she left that particular flight and then boarded another to NY.
"Delta apologizes to the remaining customers for the inconvenience and appreciates their patience as the situation was resolved", the spokesperson continued, noting that "the flight re-departed for NY following a short delay".
The incident went down Monday afternoon on Delta Flight 613 from LAX to NYC.
"Delta apologizes to the remaining customers for the inconvenience and appreciates their patience as the situation was resolved", the statement continues.
"Of course, everyone made a big deal out of it... but I'm kind of used to that", she added. She then complained about not having a pillow and feeling cramped since the person in the seat in front of her was reclined.
Reid's rep didn't immediately return a request for comment. Reid was carrying her dog in her arm as she got off.
The captain took the plane back from the gate but refused to take it off until Reid was escorted off it.
