Introduced more than a month ago, the iPhone Xr pre-orders just went live. It'll be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options as well as black, blue, yellow, white, coral, and red color options.
Today a variety of YouTube videos have been published featuring hands-on looks at the iPhone XR, which becomes available for pre-order tomorrow and ships Friday, October 26th.
The retailer has an agreement with FNB, whereby the XR can be bought with an FNB credit card for R499 a month over 37 months for the 64GB version, R535 a month for the 128GB version, and R610 a month for the 256GB version.
Still, analysts who track Apple's sales are anticipating the iPhone XR will prove to be a popular option given that it has the same processor as the iPhone XS while offering a big screen and price tag that's $250 less.
The iPhone XR is available in more than 50 countries and territories. The device is now finally available to pre-order in India via offline and online stores.
As for the phone itself, it packs a 6.1-inch LCD display with 1792 x 828 resolution.
For the iPhone XR, it appears as though they're modifying that strategy a bit. But its price - starting at $749 (£749, AU$1,229) - is considerably less, too.
The phone is officially shipping on October 26.
"It delivers all day battery life, lasting up to an hour and a half longer than iPhone 8 Plus", Apple said.
Apple has announced details surrounding the launch of the iPhone XR. The single 12MP wide-angle camera on the back comes with OIS and f/1.8 aperture. It is powered by the A12 Bionic chipset and brings 3GB of RAM as per a benchmark site.
To keep its cost lower, the iPhone XR does make a few compromises - like swapping a stainless steel chassis for aluminum and an OLED display for new Liquid Retina LCD technology.
