Americans woke up to another mass shooting tragedy on Thursday morning, this time in Thousand Oaks, California at a popular college student spot, Borderline Bar & Grill, which was hosting its weekly 18-and-over College Country Night.
Her parents are both Pepperdine alum. She had earlier been reported missing by friends and family.
Housley is the niece of actress Tamera Mowry-Housley and her husband Adam Housley, a former Fox News reporter.
Reports said there were around a 100 patrons inside the nightclub when the shooting began.
"Our hearts are broken. Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner". She said she hid with a group of strangers and they were holding hands.
