While accepting her Fashion Icon Award at the People's Choice Awards on Sunday, Beckham told E!: "It's always about empowering women, making women feel the best, most lovely and strong version of herself. I won't be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year", Beckham wrote.
"I do apologise for reading off of cards, but I hung up my microphone some time ago, and I get a little scared when I get on stage and I see a mic", she joked as she took to the stage. I wanted to show if I can do it then really anyone can do it.
"Just when things are going sooo [sic] well, my auto gets deliberately slashed, what unsafe sick person would do that to a mother who uses her vehicle to drive her kids to school and back" Mel said.
While the other bandmates objected to the singer's claim, Geri Horner interjected and said: "I spoke to her before the announcement and she has said it for years that she just doesn't want to do it anymore, so we knew that".

Beckham, who also had some words for those affected by the California wildfires, reflected on her journey.
"I've surrounded myself with strong woman". And that's as true now as it was back then.
