"Thank you for telling me that I appreciate it", Mr Trump says.
"If I can ask on the Russian investigation", Acosta urged.
When another reporter shouted a question a few minutes later, Trump asked her to sit down.
"Honestly? I think you should let me run the country, you run CNN".
"They weren't' actors. You think they were actors?" "You are are a rude, bad person".
Trump and Acosta have long have a contentious relationship as the CNN reporter often asks the president questions that seemed created to illicit a reaction from him.
"I consider it to be an invasion", Trump responded.
BTW. another awesome moment - Trump was asked if he'd comply with the inevitable demand by the House to release his tax returns, and the Prez essentially said it was too complicated for Congress to understand. You shouldn't be working for CNN.
Trump moved on to another reporter, but Acosta stood up again and began asking Trump another question.
"That's enough. Put down the mic", he ordered Acosta, as a White House aide tried to take the microphone from him, only for Acosta to initially refuse to turn it over and push her arm down. The president continued to excoriate Acosta saying how he treats his press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, in the press briefings is awful.
Acosta asked Trump about his rhetoric concerning the illegal alien horde that's approaching or southern border.
Acosta finally relinquished the mic and sat down, but Trump then began to verbally berate him from the podium. You are a rude awful person.
"CNN is fake news", Trump said.
'The way you treat Sarah Huckabee is awful, ' he said.
"Well, I'm not a big fan of yours either", Trump said, as some people in the audience laughed.
"Very hostile. Such a hostile media".
PBS Newshour's Yamiche Alcindor asked Trump about his remarks on the campaign trail in which he called himself a "nationalist", noting that some people saw it as emboldening white nationalists.
"I don't believe that", Trump continued, adding, "Why do I have my highest poll numbers with African-Americans?".
