Our thoughts and prayers are with the Housley family during this hard time and hope that Alaina is found safe.
Ashely this is her aunt Tamera Mowry Housley.
Alaina Housley's roommate, Ashley, posted images of her on Twitter, saying she's still missing after the shooting at Borderline Bar & Grill that killed 12 people, including a Ventura County sheriff's sergeant.
They say their "hearts are broken" and say they are "devastated that her life was cut short in this manner".
Wednesday night's tragic Thousand Oaks shooting has hit close to home for Tamera Mowry-Housley.
Tamera responded to Ashley's tweet, informing her that she is Alaina's aunt and would like to know more about the situation. "We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for our privacy at this time".
The slain student was a freshman at Pepperdine University, according to The Hollywood Reporter. No one at the venue was armed.
According to the Los Angeles Times Housley tried to look for his niece at around 3:30 am but was turned away because the hospital was on lockdown.
"My gut is saying she's inside the bar, dead", he said.
The killer was identified as 28-year-old Ian David Long, a former machine-gunner and decorated combat veteran of the war in Afghanistan. "I'm hoping I'm wrong", he told the newspaper.
Mowry-Housley's sister and fellow actress, Tia Mowry, also took to Instagram to write, "Alaina Housely we are praying. Please do me a favor and introduce yourself in person and see what the result will be", Housley responded. In an very bad twist, Adam Housley was one of the reporters on the ground who covered the 2015 San Bernardino shooting, according to CBS 2 anchor Peter Daut.
Adam has since taken to Twitter to ask his followers for prayers for his niece, who he described as "a handsome soul".
We're hoping and praying that Tamera and Adam's niece is found safe. "We love u! If you know anything of any information please let us know".
This is the second mass shooting in the United States in less than two weeks.
