In her forthcoming memoir, "Becoming", Obama points to the president's participation in the "birther" movement, which promoted the theory that former President Barack Obama was not actually a USA -born citizen. "I'll never forgive him [Barack Obama] for what he did to our military", he said. A fact check from the New York Times a year ago notes that "The military budget did shrink slightly during the Obama administration as the United States pulled out of combat operations, and because of the budget restrictions imposed by Congress known as sequestration". It was depleted, and I had to fix it.
Mr Trump's message, according to Mrs Obama, in words which appear in the book in bold print: "I can hurt you and get away with it". "We sit in our own pain, thinking that somehow we're broken".
Michelle Obama's memoir will be released on November 13th.
Mrs Obama writes that they met with a counsellor "a handful of times", and she came to realise that she was more "in charge" of her happiness than she had realised.
"I realized that as I was 34 and 35", said Obama, now the mother of 17-year-old Sasha and 20-year-old Malia.
Others just trashed her memoir as a waste of trees.
She writes that when she finally allowed him to kiss her, "this unusual mix-of-everything-man" set off a "toppling blast of lust, gratitude, fulfilment, wonder".
And of course, the former first lady opened up about the 2016 election and discussed the overpowering behavioral tactics she felt Trump used around Hillary Clinton during their televised debates.
The rallies were part of her work as co-chairman of the nonpartisan, nonprofit organization When We All Vote.

The memoir fulfills half of an agreement that publisher Penguin Random House reached with her and the former president after he left office under which the couple will each publish one book, reportedly for a sum worth more than $60 million.
"Who knows about Obama?"
She writes that her body "buzzed with fury" after seeing the infamous Access Hollywood tape, in which Trump brags about sexually assaulting women. She writes about Mr Trump following Mrs Clinton around the stage, standing nearby and "trying to diminish her presence". Around the same time, Obama says it hit her that "the biological clock is real" and "egg production is limited".
